Mr. Burnes brings 37 years of experience in artificial lift/rod lift to Legacy Artificial Lift Solutions. He started his career with Leamco Services in 1981 where he gained experience in pumping unit repair, sales and service.  Later with Energy Ventures Inc., he served as Region Manager before moving into the role of the U.S. Sales and Marketing Manager. With the merger of EVI and Weatherford in 1998 Sam served as Southwest Operations Manager and then as General Manager of the American/Rotaflex Manufacturing Facility.

In 2010 Sam co-founded Pumping Unit Resources (PUR). He played a critical role in the enhancements design of the Champion pumping unit and was an integral part of the Champion’s market success. After PUR sold to Schlumberger in 2013 Sam remained on board as Schlumberger grew their artificial lift division.

Sam’s wealth of knowledge and industry experience will be significant differentiators as Legacy’s management, sales, and service team reenter the market.
